Well, a downswing which involves my opponents coolering me every hand bring my bankroll back down to around ~$1k. Today is donkament day, I'm still alive in a $22 MTT even though my overpair got pwned by a set, and I think I'm going to play a rebuy or something within the next hour as well. The results will ensue in a future post.
Other than that, parlay for this weekend's football:
Bills -2.5 over Dolphins
Bears -3 over Raiders

The universe is really fucking big.

The observable universe is 92-94 BILLION LIGHT YEARS in diameter. (That's just the observable universe, not even the real one.) Did you fuckers know that?
Anyways, I played some 100max Omaha (yeah, I live life on the edge) and won like 1.75 buy-ins, so my BR is over $1k again. I won't have time to play anything tonight and probably not tomorrow night, but on the weekend, I should get a chance to win some MTTs. Probably two or three even. But yeah, I want to play deepstack HORSE somewhere but stupid fucking pregnant PartyPoker doesn't have it, so I have to wait til I withdraw and put money on Stars before I get to play that :( . Anyways, apologiez for not writing more this weekend (been really busy pimpin out my hoes to clients all over town and shit), but I promise* to start updating like twice a day soon. As long as you, reader, stay loyal and read my material.

Other news: CCOP is starting soon. Fuck yes! Oh wait, too bad my BR on Stars looks like a tree stump. Maybe I'll get some more money onto Stars in order to play a couple more events (I'm really only looking forward to shorthanded PLHE and PLO, but I like playing with CC playerz ldo).

Anyways, I'll just keep this update short and sweet (week was uneventful/busy, don't blame me), but there will be another one soon (probably with details about donkament wins, strippers named Cinnamon, and graphical representations of Einstein's Equivalence Principle, etc).

I'm the guy who does his job. You must be the other guy.

My recent cash in a $22 flipament now puts my BR over $1k, which I am v. happy about. I'm now theoretically rolled for the ~$20 MTTs, which I think I will continue playing until I finally bring home a >$1k win (fingers x-ed that it will happen soon). I really don't think I want to ever play anything >$55 buy-in on PP (other than rebuys which sometimes cost more than that ldo) unless I satellite in, merely because I don't think I could handle a $109 loss due to a bad beat, so I won't put myself at risk for that. Actually, if I ever am rolled for $109s, I'll probably move my bankroll to Stars again, where the higher stakes MTTs are actual competition (and will help me become an MTT pro - as opposed to a donk-crusher - my current status). Anyways, I'm getting a bit ahead of myself; I should be focusing on the $1k --> $2k stretch that will probably be a bit of a grind.

In other news: Red Sox are taking the Rockies to church. Honestly, if it's not a four game sweep, I think we should just ship Colorado the WS ringz, that's how much of a handicap they deserve. Also I'm taking Colts -6.5 this week over Carolina for $20. I have no idea how I'm getting away with this bet, because the real line is -7, but I guess PP doesn't know that and wants me to have free money.

Things to watch for this weekend:
-Chuck FTs a $3r on Stars
-Mischman randomly shows up in a CC buy-in*
-Combuboom crushes shorthanded 200max at 12.5BBs/100, but still complains about he runs terrible
-Rex and I final table a PP donkament together, I run like a saint up until heads-up, at which point he's at a 4:1 chip disadvantage, but still wins and I miss out on another 1st :(
-11 new "online pok er is rigged (no proof, though)" threads are made at CC
-Pats crush the Redskins so hard that Clinton Portis actually quits football to pursue a rap career
-Tenbob gets drunk
-I release book on sustaining a 1000% ROI in MTTs on PP
-Book sells a ton of copies and I retire and move to Europe


One more word of advice, reader. Do yourself a favor and make this blog your homepage. Seriously. It will get rid of your beer belly, will move your receding hairline back to an acceptable position, and will convince your wife/girlfriend to try out freaky new shit in bed, among other good things. (Unless you're a female, in which case it will make your husband stop drinking.) Do it.

Busy week outside of poker

Haven't been able to play any MTTs yet this week, looking at maybe one or two Friday, but that may or may not happen (alcoholism's grasp on vanq is similar to that of the ring from LOTR on smeagol). Anyways, the BR took a small hit on Saturday when I dropped a buy-in+ at 50max. I was actually so tilted afterwards that I didn't play some MTT I was originally planning on winning and chilled with friends instead. So now I'm in the mid $800 range, which I'm still quite content with, even thought it means I may not make $1200 this week (fuck).
I got a ton of shit to take care of during this week, and World Series coverage starts Wednesday, which means means the evenings will consist of pubbing rather than steeling potz. This short break will let me think more about the long run and where I want to be in the next month/several months/year/decade/century/millenium/etc, which will ideally motivate me to keep crushing PP ring (seriously, I'm running like 25 PTBBs/100 at 25max right now).
In other news, pizza bagels are the best fucking food of all time and everyone should eat them for every meal, every day (you are still allowed to choose your accompanying beverage - I recommend alcohol, preferably 100%).



One more thing, reader. I know you're probably almost as lazy as I am (no one can be as lazy as me, by definition), but after reading these posts, please leave comments. Seriously, it makes a difference. I want to know what you think of what I have to say about general poker, what you think of the goals I'm trying to set for myself, what you think of the book I'm reading (PNL right now) if you've already read it, and so on. These comments will perform two tasks: they'll let me know that people are actually reading (cause right now, I have no idea how many people are following and what type of reader I'm trying to preach to) and it will give me more insight into the long grind that is online poker (especially those of you that have been playing longer than me/play higher stakes/etc).

This was easily my best week of poker ever.

4th in $6 regular - 223 entrants for $81
8th in $33 5k guaranteed - 273 entrants for $246
5th in $11+r - 150 entrants for $506 (biggest score ever shippppp)


I've been playing at the top of my game and running like a mob of underpaid factory workers was chasing me in an effort to kill me for lowering their wages again (what, they can't feed their fucking families on $2.55 an hour?) Anyways, PT tells me I've been playing ~23/18.7 in tournament play, which is where I was before I went on the worst downswing ever, so I'm pretty happy about that. (Actually, I was like 23/22 before, but I like these new stats more.) Also my ~1000% ROI is def. sustainable, so I'm probably going to be hitting my goal of $300k a couple weeks early (PT says: Vanq uses sarcasm 16.4% of the time).

In all seriousness though, current BR is at ~$890 (started at $100 a week ago) with $30 in play on NFL action this weekend (Colts -3 and Ravens -3 one time). That being the case, I'm looking at playing a ton more $6/$11 donkaments and I may or may not try to satellite into the $300k guarantee (it's on Sunday, and that's football day :( ). Perhaps some $50 6max will be mixed in during stretches when I don't have time to play/concentrate for longer periods of time, so we'll see how that goes.


Realistic goal for next week (or less) - get to $1200. I want to hit ~$5k within 2-3 months at most, and this will definitely be a good start, so I'm gonna make a huge effort to get that done. I'm currently reading PNL (like 1/3 way through) and then I'm going to read NLTAP. These will help my game a ton as well, I imagine, so perhaps my goal is actually quite achievable (the $5k goal, not the $300k goal, reader, get your head in the game plz).


Also I'm still on break from the CC buy-ins it seems (reader, you know I love CC but my Stars/FT BR just can't handle it right now, and getting a real BR on PP is taking precedence over this temporarily). Still though, shout out to CC homiez, (cardschat.com - join the site yo) as soon as I figure out how, I'm gonna link this shit to your guys' blogs.
